Veramo String Quartet

Veramo Quartet was founded in 2020 by students and graduates of Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków as a result of their long-standing collaboration in the field of chamber music. The mission of the quartet is to popularize the classical repertoire in Poland and abroad, with particular emphasis on the oeuvre of Polish composers, as well as forgotten or little-known works. The ensemble cultivates a rich tradition of quartet performance, at the same time searching for original means of artistic expression. The Veramo Quartet was awarded the third prize at the Opus 2021 International Music Competition. The ensemble members have received scholarships from the Centre for Artistic Education, the Zwierciadło Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. As soloists and chamber musicians, they have taken part in many master classes and festivals, including the Princess Daisy Ensemble Festival, the International Kraków Composers' Festival, the Musical Spaces Chamber Music Festival and the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival. As part of prestigious orchestral projects, the Veramo Quartet's instrumentalists have performed in the best concert halls in Europe, playing under the batons of such distinguished conductors as John Axelrod, José aria Florêncio, Marek Moś, Jerzy Maksymiuk and Antoni Wit.
