Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats is an English doom-metal and psychedelic rock band from Cambridge. The band was founded in 2009. Just a year later, their debut album Vol 1. was released in 2010. 2011 followed their second album Blood Lust. After the single Poison Apple was released on March 08, 2013, the third album of the band Mind Control followed shortly.
Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats play a mix of doom metal and psychedelic rock of the 1970s. They claim to be influenced by artists such as Neil Young, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Electric Wizard and The Kinks.
