Vader

Vader is a Polish band playing thrash and death metal. It was founded in 1983 in Olsztyn by guitarist Zbigniew "Viki" Wróblewski and Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek, who was the bass guitarist at the time. At the beginning, Vader's music oscillated around speed and heavy metal inspired by the achievements of Judas Priest and Accept. After 1985, inspired in large part by Slayer, Vader turned to thrash and then death metal. The breakthrough moment in the band's history came with the recording of the demo Morbid Reich. The material, released by Carnage Records, was billed as "the best-selling cassette in death metal history". Next in the band's discography was the no less iconic album The Ultimate Incantation. It was to the song Dark Age, from this album, that the first video was made, often broadcast on MTV, among others. The following years saw the release of further albums, such as De Profundis, De Profundis and The Ultimate Incantation: De Profundis, Back to the Blind, Litany, Welcome to the Morbid Reich and "Solitude in Madness". It is impossible to list all the tours and festivals they have performed at.
