Dog Eat Dog

Formed in New Jersey in 1990, Dog Eat Dog was one of the earliest bands to fuse hardcore punk and rap music, contributing heavily to the shape of rock music to come. They became an MTV staple after the release of their 1994 album All Boro Kings; they were especially popular in Europe, which they toured at the time with the very like-minded band Biohazard. The group's mainstream explosion was followed by a change in sound, and their subsequent effort Play Games featured a funk- and ska-influenced sound and collaborations with the diverse likes of Ronnie James Dio and RZA. With some personnel rotation, Dog Eat Dog remained active over the years, releasing two more studio albums. Their most recent release is the 2017 EP Brand New Breed.
