Therion

Therion will perform at two concerts in Poland.

Therion is a Swedish band considered to be a precursor of symphonic metal. The group was founded in 1987 by Christopher Johnsson. The band began under the name Blitzkrieg, then as Megatherion, and a year later adopted its current name. At first they made a name for themselves as a creative death metal band, including releasing the album Beyond Sanctorum in 1992. Their later work combines elements of classical music and opera with a broad metal current, with influences from heavy metal and progressive rock.
