Talich Quartet

The Czech String Quartet was formed at the Prague Conservatory in 1962. The Talich Quartet began to play in the school year 1962/63 as a student ensemble of the Prague Conservatory, consisting of Jan Kvapil, Jan Talich, Jiří Najnar, Evžen Rattay. Later, on the recommendation of Professor Micka, the ensemble began to play under the name of conductor Václav Talich.
