Svitlana Nianio
Svitlana Nianio is a legend of the Ukrainian underground and co-founder of the experimental group Cukor Bila Smert. Nianio spread her wings as a solo artist and rooted her bold modernist compositions in mythology and folklore. After releasing her first solo album Kytytsi in 1999, she put her career on hold, only to resume it when interest in her work increased in the second decade of the 21st century. Since then, she has been constantly busy - whether collaborating with artists such as James Scott or Raphael Roginski (as the duo Elik), or reintroducing such rare works of hers as the 1994 album Transilvania Smile.
