Slipper
The Berlin-Warsaw band Slipper are bass player Jakub Tyro-Niezgoda (Vegetable Kingdom, Lounge Ryszards) with drummer/singer Rocky Lorelei and guitarist/singer Sean Armstrong, both of the Scottish indie outfit Spinning Coin. Echoing jangle pop compatriots like Orange Juice and The Pastels with their catchy sunny-but-melancholic songwriting, Slipper's music also has a distictly 1960s feel to it, with vocal harmonies, combo organs and a lo-fi production style. Their self-titled debut, recorded on a four-track machine, was released in 2020; they have since followed it up with 2022's What Time Is It?.
