The face of the Silesian Puppet and Actor Theatre "Ateneum" has been shaped from the beginning based on the local creative environment. Cooperation with Silesian artists is still a distinguishing feature of the Katowice scene, but for many years now, parallel contacts with artists from Poland and abroad (including the Czech Republic, Austria, Mexico, Slovakia, Japan) have been developing. The repertoire directed to children is dominated by fairy-tale classics, although there is no lack of position in contemporary drama. Performed in various conventions, it uses the means of puppet theatre and its connections with the live set scene. Particular attention is paid to shaping the taste of small audiences through the artistic layer and music.
