Ruggiero Sfregola
Since 2011, Concertino is the first violin to replace the first violin in the National Orchestra of Santa Cecilia. He studied violin in 1994 at the Umberto Giordano Conservatory in Foggia under the guidance of Orazio Sarcina with full marks and distinctions and specialized in the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in chamber music with Felix Ayo (1994-1997) and in violin with Beatrice Antonioni (1996-1999) ; in the same place he was a student of Giuseppe Principe for two years at Primo Violino (1997-1999). For three years he was a member of concert orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (1996-1999); won the first violin scholarship in 1999 (?) at the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan and at the same venue he won Concertino from the first violin with Ramen and Concertino from second violin with First Second at the San Carlo Naples Theater and Fily Place Competition at the Santa Cecilia National Academy Orchestra. He has played since 1996 at the Duo Violino and Pianoforte with Eleonora Orlando (Awards received at the 5th International Chamber Music Competition Riviera del Conero 1997, the first Moncalieri Award at the European Music Competition); founded Stradivari Sestet, with whom he was an effective member until 2012 and since 2005 he has been playing with Quint'etto. Since 2017 he has been playing in the formation of the string trio with the trio of Santa Cecilia. In 2016, the violin by Igor Moroder, a violinist in Milan, plays for him.
