Prune
Prune is a solo project of singer-songwriter Lucie Krpalová.
In 2016, her debut album Kruhy v aranžích by Martin Kyšperský (Květy) was released, a record on the border between folk and pop underlined by fine electronics and enriched with a number of domestic guests. In 2017, Prune was listed among the 50 hopes of Czech music by Headliner magazine. Since 2023 she has been performing in a duo with Swedish multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Christoffer Strandh (bass, trumpet), who recorded and arranged her new album Fire (November 2024). It deals with themes of partner closeness, longing, security and the warmth of friendship. Musically, it reflects a love of acoustic pop and imperfections.
