Progres 2
Progres 2 is a legendary rock band from Brno.
In 1968 it was founded under the original name The Progress Organization by musicians Zdeněk Kluka and Pavel Váně. Their very first LP Barnodaj became, according to the critics of Melodie magazine, the record of the year 1972. The second LP, Mauglí, was released under the "normalization" name of the group – Barnodaj. In the times of the hardest normalization, they suspended their activity for several years. They resumed it under the new name Progres 2 in 1978, when they first presented an experimental audiovisual project Dialog s vesmírem (the first Czechoslovak rock opera). They continued with similar challenging projects on other albums (Třetí kniha džunglí, Mozek, Změna). The band is currently touring around the country again.
