Prague Sounds is one of the most important music events in the Czech Republic with the same goal: to present the most interesting artists of the contemporary scene in Prague. The festival's dramaturgy draws on impulses from across musical periods and genres, providing its audience with unique and intimate experiences in Prague's diverse festival venues. In its more than 27 years of existence, the festival has presented many iconic musical figures, but also systematically introduces a new generation of artists, often in Czech premieres.
The common denominator and key to the selection of festival artists is that their work combines old and new, past and present, while creating a new quality. The same can be said of Prague Sounds themselves – they respect the past, live in the present and move into the future. This constant evolution is the recipe that keeps the festival evolving.
