Ponyhenge is a Czech alt-rock band based on the collaboration of German actress, filmmaker and musician Emily Brandi (Fourtuna), Jakub Kaifosz (Lazer Viking), Martin Drahoňovský, Juraj Ondrejka, Michal Budinský and Táňa Lvovská. Their work combines elements of dream-pop, garage rock and Americana. Their debut chamber-pop single Colors was released in July 2024.
“Ponyhenge will be more of an alt-rock oriented band, sort of like Fleetwood Mac reincarnated as a 90's indie band. Artists such as Lana Del Rey, Weyes Blood or even more folk singers such as Laura Marling, Angel Olsen or First Aid Kit are inspirations for writing songs. And as far as the arrangements are concerned, I think we lean more towards pop rock of the 90s, classic rock of the 70s and even surf rock," Emily Brandi describes the band's work.
