Pleń
A chub is a crawling mass made up of thousands of tiny larvae of the platypus ground fly. The chub is an extremely rare phenomenon, with the first news of it dating back to the 17th century, in Silesia. It was regarded by the population as a harbinger of misfortunes, wars and disasters. A similar indeterminacy and harbinger of evil can be heard on recordings from the debut album of the Lodz-based post-rock group that took it as its name. The lineup formed in 2017 and the artists sat down to work on improvisation-based material. They refined the free-form music at concerts, and later in the studio they tried to reflect the atmosphere of the local performances. Apparently, this didn't work and something completely different was recorded for the album Plen (2021).
