Personal Trainer

Led by frontman Willem Smit, the Amsterdam band Personal Trainer play big, catchy rock that recalls the dancefloor-ready side of 2000s indie fare. Originally featuring a rotating cast of collaborators, Personal Trainer released their debut LP Big Love Blanket in 2022; the group's lineup stabilized in its wake and now comprises seven musicians. In 2023, they signed to Bella Union, a prominent British indie label ran by Cocteau Twins' Simon Raymonde; the imprint has released two of their singles since.
