Otay:onii
Otay:onii is the solo project of Lane Mingyu Shi, originally from Haining, China, currently based in Berlin, frontwoman of noise-rock band Elizabeth Colour Wheel, in which she combines twisted avant-pop with post-industrial soundscapes, inspirations from Chinese traditional music and painfully direct lyrics in English and Mandarin, delivered in a brash, no-holds-barred manner. In 2018, she debuted with the album Nag. She is often exploring themes of anxiety and identity in subversively carnivalesque arrangements.
