Queer icon Mykki Blanco returns to Prague this fall with their highly anticipated new album Stay Close To Music. "At one point in my career, I realized that I didn't know what my own music sounded like without any kind of direct, outside reference.” And it was time for a change. Ultimately Mykki concluded they wanted to create their own sonic universe from scratch. On the upcoming record, Mykki enters uncharted territory: daringly and confidently discovering their own unique sonic world and breaking down all the principles on which their music has stood until now. Dynamic musical soundscapes, hazy organic textures and live instrumentation, collaborations with MNEK, Michael Stipe of R.E.M., ANOHNI or Jónsi of Sigur Rós. Stay Close To Music marks the first time that Mykki says they felt comfortable as a spiritual being in their practice as a musician.
