Mladí Ladí Jazz 2017 – Mn'JAM experiment + finále Jazz Fruit

It started with jazz music. Gradually, the young Mn’JAM project commenced to rebuild it into a multi-media experiment that rests on a visual and digital performance, spinning turntables and electronic instruments. In Mn’JAM’s show all elements are equal and have the same value for the intended outcome. What matters is the synthesis itself, interactions and merger of spontaneously created sounds and images. Innovation and originality stop short of describing properly “concerts” of this unconventional quintet founded by Melissa Olivieira from Australia and visual artist JAM. Guitarist Virxilio da Silva, bassist José Carlos Barbosa and drummer Tuur Moens stand for the rest of the project.

Given the nature of their performance, Mn’JAM has not recorded any studio album yet. All the more fascinating are their live shows, each unlike the other, each exclusive. Czech audience will have the chance to witness their concert for the very first time, on this occasion as a starring band to conclude the Jazz Fruit competition’s final evening.
