Michał Zygmunt

Michał Zygmunt is a guitarist and composer fascinated by discovering old worlds. It collects individual sounds and uses in music equally along with guitars and other instruments. He eagerly samples from archival recordings and, with their help, revives ghosts from the past. An interesting feature of creativity is the eclectic combination of the best features of different genres of music, "village" and world, avant-garde with tradition. He is the author of 11 albums, which he recorded both solo and in collaboration with excellent musicians in the best recording studios. Appreciated by listeners in Poland and abroad. Author of professional field recordings of the sounds of nature (albums Dzikie Rzeki, Harmonia Natury for WWF Polska). He collaborated with such celebrities as: Jan Bang, Erik Honoré, Nils Petter Molvær, Roli Mosimann, and Arve Henriksen. He is a co-author of the Festival Eklektik Session Festival, which combined two innovative European festivals and entered into the national calendar of music events. The originator of the Odra Guitars series - instruments made exclusively of trees growing on the Odra River. Author of theater, film and illustration music, creator of radio plays. Winner of the Emotions 2015 Radio Wrocław Culture award in the music category, appreciated for musical individuality and discovering other dimensions of music.
