Michal Wróblewski
Michal Wróblewski is a Czech composer and saxophonist living in Prague.
He graduated in improvised music and jazz performance from JAMU in Brno and Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. He is currently a PhD student in Composition and Theory of Composition at JAMU. He leads several ensembles in the Czech Republic and Norway (E Converso, Kiap, JWQ, Nejtek-Klápště-Wróblewski, Swomp) and collaborates as an improviser with musicians from all over the world. He is a teacher (HAMU, JAMU, Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, ZUŠ Kouřim), artistic director of the Jazz Goes to Town festival, organizer of the Hybrid Sessions concert series in Prague and co-founder of the Ma Records label.
