MeziMěsto
The band MeziMěsta, consisting of five musicians, brings its own original music to the world of folk.
The band members are Ondřej Podeszwa (guitar), Jana Bílíková (violin), Vojtěch Rohlíček (accordion and piano), Petr Gric (bass guitar), and Adam Vojtěch (cajon/drums). The band's line-up has remained unchanged since its inception in 2015.
MeziMěsto's repertoire is entirely original, with lyrics and melodies coming from the pen of bandleader Ondřej Podeszwa. The genre is folk, but there are hints of jazz, swing and blues in the melodies, in songs such as S váhami na křídlech, A tak, Pozvi ho dál or Legíny.
The band is planning to release an album for its tenth anniversary in 2025. The major change from the two previous CDs will be a better sound, more emphasis on arrangements and a drum kit instead of a cajon.
