Messa
Messa is an Italian music group formed in 2014 in the town of Cittadella. Their work is primarily categorized within the doom metal genre, while also incorporating elements of jazz, blues, ambient, and progressive rock. The band refers to their distinctive style as “scarlet doom".
Their debut album, Belfry, was released in 2016. This was followed by their second studio album, Feast for Water, in 2018, which expanded the band’s stylistic range. The third album, Close, was released in 2022. In April 2025, the group released their fourth studio album titled The Spin.
The lineup consists of vocalist Sara Bianchin, bassist and guitarist Marco Zanin, guitarist Alberto Piccolo, and drummer Rocco Toaldo (Mistyr).
The band has long been involved in all creative aspects of its work, including songwriting, arrangements, and visual presentation.
