Mazutti

Mazutti is a project founded by Mazut, that is Paweł Starzec and Michał Turowski, with Macio Moretti. Mazut is a Warsaw duo founded by Paweł Starc and Michał Turowski. Mazut is an activity on the border of lo-fi acid techno, industrial and broadly understood noise. Mazut is dirty, simple and primitive music. Mazut wears white shirts to look elegant on stage, because despite years of therapy they have not yet learned to love themselves and cut the diamond of their own self-esteem. The white shirt is a forming object, adding charisma, style and faith in their own skills. Macio Moretti, on the other hand, does not wear a white shirt even when receiving Polityka's passport. He always looks good and always plays well. He comes from metal, jazz, punk and Brazilian music backgrounds. He improvises a lot, but also knows how to learn the most difficult combinations. He plays with young people in small clubs, but also played in the biggest halls and at festivals with Zbigniew Wodecki and his band Mitch & Mitch. Old Singers, Shofar, Baaba, Paristetris, Alte Zachen – these are all his bands. He has a significant share in the activities of Lado ABC, also as a creator of album covers (he also does them for the so-called mainstream artists, such as Hey, Nosowska or Voo Voo).
