Markéta Foukalová
Markéta Foukalová is a Czech singer, composer, lyricist and voice teacher who has been actively performing since she was thirteen. At the age of seventeen, she won the Zlíntalet singing competition and began collaborating with Eva Pilarova. In the past, she has sung and written with the trip-hop Gang Ala Basta, acid jazz Madfinger, with whom she won the main prize in the competition for young jazz artists at the Philips Jazz Festival, and many other bands. Most often, however, Markéta performs with her main home band Lanugo, leads the children's choir Beznot, which she co-founded, and teaches at the Jaroslav Deyl Conservatory and New York University.
