Margaryta Grynyvetska
Margaryta Grynyvetska was born in 1994 in Crimea, Ukraine. She started learning music at the age of 5 as a pianist. At the age of 10 she won her first competition "Vivat, musica!" in the composition category. After graduating from music school, she joined the Odessa Stolarski State Music School as a singer and choir conductor.
Margaryta made her debut as a symphonic conductor with the school orchestra at the age of 15. In 2010, she entered the Odessa National Music Academy as a choir conductor, and in 2011 she began her studies at the department of symphonic conducting in the class of Chief Conductor of Odessa Opera Alexandru Samoil. In 2014, she entered the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, beginning her training as an opera and symphony conductor (class of A. Vlasenko). During her education, Margaryta conducted concerts with works by G. Verdi, W.A. Mozart, A. Dvorak, M. Ravel, J. Sibelius, P. Tchaikovsky, J. Brahms and I. Stravinsky with the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music. In 2016, Margaryta made her concert debut with the orchestra at the Odessa National Opera and Ballet Theatre. Also that year, she won the Grand Prix and the audience prize at the Ukrainian festival of young conductors 'Muzychna Tavria' in Kherson, Ukraine. In 2017, she participated in the 3rd Stefan Turczak International Conducting Competition.
In November 2021, she made her debut with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2022, due to the war in Ukraine, Margaryta left for Germany. In the same year, Margaryta took part in a concert in support of Ukraine at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she conducted works by Silvestrov, Skoryk and Lysenko, and after a successful debut was invited to conduct ballet performances of Giselle at the theatre. She also made her debut on the stage of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2022 and participated in the Schubertiaden Schnakenburg Festival with the Ukrainian émigré orchestra "Mriya", made her debut at the St. Gallen Tonhalle, performed with the Orchestra Musikalischen Komodie Leipzig, at the Stelzenfestspiele, on stage at the Isarphilharmonie Munchen with the Abaco-Orchester. She also conducted the Valeik Philharmonic orchestra at the Crans Montana Classic Festival.
