Marcelina Gawron
Marcelina Gawron, composer and songwriter. She comes from the charming village of Jaworzno in the Beskid Wyspowy. From her youngest years she is connected with music. Initially educated in the classical direction, she graduated from the violin class of the PSM in Limanowa. Then she graduated from the second degree of the music school in the double bass class, PSM in Tarnów. The knowledge she gained was very valuable in her later jazz education. She graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk with a degree in jazz vocalism, and from the Academy of Music in Katowice with a degree in second degree. Notes of Life is the vocalist's first original album. The album contains a compilation of nine original works by Marcelina, each of which is a separate note from life told by sounds and words. On the basis of harmony and bold rhythmic ideas, the vocalist reflects subsequent emotional states with her voice. As an instrument with unlimited possibilities, she often treats it instrumentally, entering into correlation with the other instruments; sometimes in minimalistic and often bold arrangement ideas.
