Lenka Dusilová

Lenka Dusilová is a Czech singer and composer, multiple winner of the annual Anděl music awards.

At the age of sixteen she became the central face of the Prague rock band Sluníčko. This was followed by collaboration with the popular Lucia, and then with David Koller in the related band Pusa. The very first steps in her solo career earned her the title of Singer of the Year at the annual Academy of Popular Music Andel Awards, followed by more successful albums and a collaboration with Čechomor.

Dusilová recorded her third solo album Mezi světy (2005) in San Francisco with American renowned musicians and producer Ben Yonas. Meetings with representatives of the emerging Czech jazz community (Vertigo Quintet) or a fateful meeting with the musical personality, pianist Beata Hlavenková and Clarinet Factory resulted in a collaboration on the extraordinary eclectic album Eternal Seekers (2008). Her fourth solo album, Baromantika (2011), was recorded in collaboration with the tandem Beata Hlavenková and Tin Soldiers. A unique result with its own acoustic-electronic musical language was born. The album V hodině smrti was already recorded as Lenka Dusilová & Baromantika in 2014. In 2020 she released the album Řeka, for which she received several Anděl awards. In 2023 she released her eighth studio album in collaboration with Petr Ostroukhov, Water Lost and Returned.
