Lash & Grey
Lash & Grey (real names Kristína Mihaľová and Jakub Šedivý) is a Slovak jazz-soul duo.
The duo Lash & Grey met while studying at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. In their short time together, they have already performed on such notable stages as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Empoli Jazz Festival in Italy, Porgy & Bess in Vienna, and the Euro Jazz Festival in Mexico City. The music of this Bratislava duo creates an intimate and warm universe reminiscent of Norah Jones, Etta James, or Billie Holiday, but with a timeless charm. Their album Sleepin' With The Lights On (2020), won the award for Best Debut at the Radio_Head Awards, and Best Slovak Album at the Anděl Awards. Singer Kristína Mihalová was the only European finalist in the TOP 5 vocalists from around the world at the Sarah Vaughan Jazz Vocal competition in New Jersey in 2022. At La Fabrika, she will be joined by Martin Valihora (drums) and Robert Balzar (double bass).
