Laibach
Laibach was established in 1980 in the mountain town Trbovlje in central Slovenia. Soon after its foundation, prepared a project red light district, but it was criticized for the local town council, before the realization prohibited. Just three years later he felt the pressure of totalitarian censorship Laibach again, this time even more devastating - in the former Yugoslavia, they were completely banned artistic activity. The first album from 1985, carried the logo of the band, no name. But the band succeeded in a tour de force, and in the same year her debut album in Hamburg Rekapitulacija 1980-1984 and a year later in England, when an independent label Cherry Red released a recording of Nova Akropola.
The real breakthrough came with the album Opus Dei in the spring of 1987, which under the British label Mute and subsequent recording of Sympathy For The Devil 1989, which Laibach took on a major tour of Europe and the United States. Sticker controversial band, great cover versions of hits by Opus, the Queen, the Beatles or the Rolling Stones original industrial music, an interesting stage, daring all multimedia projects meant that the world loved Laibach and loves them still.
