Plzeňská filharmonie, whose founder is the city of Pilsen, the Orchestra with a solid tradition and reputation, desired and sought after in both the Czech Republic and abroad. It also operates numerous concert tour, she performed in prestigious concert stages of Europe and the USA. Also regularly shoots for Czech radio and other labels, has hundreds of recordings from the Baroque era to the present. For the year 2014 received Plzeňská filharmonie Art Prize of the city of Plzeň in the category of exceptional cultural event for the Requiem, op. 89 by Antonín Dvořák, realized in the year of Czech music in 2014. Plzeňská filharmonie is a member of the Association of symphony orchestras and choirs of the Czech Republic and from 2013 is the organizer and the organizer of the international multidisciplinary Festival Smetana days in Pilsen.
