Joey Baron

Joey Baron started playing at age 9. Over the years he has developed a unique, masterful approach to making music on a percussion kit, as evidenced by his longstanding collaboration with such jazz icons as Jim Hall, Steve Kuhn and John Abercrombie. His long collaboration with Bill Frisell was documented and released as "JUST LISTEN" at Relative Pitch Records in 2013. Currently, Baron is touring solo, conducting workshops and masterclass, and also collaborating with John Zorn on Gary Now's "Now This" project. Peacock and Marc Copeland create "Sound Prints" with Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas, and plays the new Danish trio Jakob Bro with bassist Thomas Morgan.
