Shawn James

Shawn James did not appear out of nowhere. Its roots are quite obvious, and it does not cut itself off from them. He spent his childhood in southern Chicago, absorbing soul and gospel music. These genres loved the most, and artists such as Howlin 'Wolf, Robert Johnson or Ottis Reading had a significant impact on his musical education. Out of these fascinations, Shawn made his own unusual blend of blues, folk and soul, not afraid of combining both dark and joyful shades of the south's creativity. However, music would be nothing without Shawn's original, strong voice, which he has honed his vocal skills for years in gospel choirs. He released his first solo album in 2012, and his songs could be heard, among others in television programs produced by CBS, NBC and HBO. His song Through the Valley appeared in the trailer announcing one of the most awaited Playstation 4 games - The Last of Us Part 2
