A really Big Band is a really idiotic venture. After all, Pablopavo and Ludziki, a large band, were joined by musicians absolutely from Sasa to Lasa: Patryk Kraśniewski - a jazz, classical and reggae panzer and composer, Miki Wielecki - a percussionist and congist known for his performance of Brazilian and Cuban music, Lena Romul - a saxophonist and vocalist (really as if you couldn't decide....) and Paweł Szamburski - a clarinettist a bit avant-garde, a bit klezmer, a bit improvising, a bit of a clarinetist. Eleven people on stage, it would be better if it was a football team. If all of them would still, normally, rearrange the well-known songs of Ludzik, it might make sense, but no, but why... They've made some pretty new compositions. The songs are absurdly long, everyone improvises every now and then, the wind section has a violin and the drummer plays on a whistle and a bunch of Yale keys. Of course, when recording in the studio, all this could be somehow glued together, path by path, produced, improved. But no, you can't translate, they went in and recorded everything, without corrections or editing... Cloudy lyrics, long solos, twisting themes.
