Kee Avil
Kee Avil is the project of Montreal-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Vicky Mettler, whose music combines guitar, voice and electronics into forms suspended somewhere between improvisation and song structure; this has evoked comparisons to late-career Scott Walker or descriptions along the lines of PJ Harvey meets Autechre. Her discography currently includes a self-titled debut EP and a full-length album, Crease, released in 2022; she has also shared stages with the likes of Marc Ribot, Pere Ubu, Bill Orcutt and Fly Pan Am.
