Karolina Matuszkiewicz
Karolina Matuszkiewicz is a Polish violinist, singer, multi-instrumentalist in the field of string and knee instruments (kemanche, Biłgoraj bitch, Płock fiddle, kobyz). A graduate of the UMFC in Warsaw in the violin class of Professor Julia Jakimowicz-Jakowicz and Dr. Jakub Jakowicz (2014) and a graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow in the fiddle class of Dr. Maria Pomianowska. She has performed in Russia, India, South Africa, Vietnam, China, Tunisia, England, Scotland, Germany, Denmark, Belarus, Hungary, Lithuania, Italy, France and Poland. She cooperates on a regular basis with Karolina Cicha, Nikola Kołodziejczyk, Gerard Edery and occasionally with Prof. Maria Pomianowska as well as with the Warsaw Village Band. She co-founded the bands T/Aboret, Karma Trio, Wiklinowa, Andre & the Giants (Rozen), with whom she actively performs with her own program. She is a winner of numerous competitions in the field of traditional music.
