Kapela Adamczyków

The Adamczyks' band from Leszczyn was famous for their fast - "fast" playing, especially mazurkas, oberekas and polekas, and along with the fashion attitude also tangos, foxtrots and waltzes. The Adamczyk brothers still remember many stories from old weddings, which were often very tiring for musicians. Despite the fact that Mr. Jan played with harmony from the very beginning, he retained in his violin playing a very rich ornamentation of the melody, characteristic especially of the mazurkas derived from singing. It is mainly these melodies that form the core of the repertoire, which he eagerly communicates to his pupils. Played vigorously on the violin and pedal harmony, accompanied by a drum or baraban, they are intended to serve, as in the past, primarily for dance. Currently, the Adamczyks play on various occasions, dance and listen to their students Katarzyna Zedel and Kacper Cias. Meetings with music are an opportunity to remember old times and to play music "with musical verve".
