Julianna Awdiejewa
Julianna Awdiejewa was born in 1985 in Moscow, and began learning piano at the age of five with Elena Ivanova at the Gnessin Moscow Special Music School, and then with Konstantin Szczerbakow and Vladimir Tropp. At the International Piano Academy, Lake Como taught her, among others, William Grant Naboré, Dmitry Bashkirov and Fou Ts’ong. In addition to the Chopin award, she has won, among others Award of the Piano Competition in Bremen in 2003, Concours de Genève 2006 and won the first place in the prestigious Competition Artur Rubinstein in Bydgoszcz in 2002. Julianna Awdiejewa's Chopin performances attract special recognition, distinguishing her as one of the composer's leading interpreters, extracting the strength and sophistication of his music. Her long cooperation with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute has gained a huge fan base in Poland.
