Julek Ploski

Polish producer Julek Ploski has carved out a peculiar niche for himself since his 2018 debut Tesco: hyperactive, maximalist, and devoted to a gleefully revisionist approach to tropes with a reputation for kitsch. Ploski describes his music as trailercore: he incorporates eurodance and film music influences into a pattern of collage-like electronica, creating inflated, disorienting landscapes. He has played twice at Unsound, and has collaborated with Keith Rankin (Giant Claw, Death's Dynamic Shroud) and Antonina Nowacka, among others. His latest album, Hotel *****, was released by the famous label Orange Milk in 2023; his previous works have been released on the likes of Gin&Platonic, Pointless Geometry and Glamour, which he co-ran.
