Jena Jang (KR) is an experimental vocal and noise improviser and somatic performance artist based in Prague, Czechia. They use powerful vibrations of analogue electronic sound and high-pitched frequencies with their hand-made modular synths, which they continuously develop. Drawing inspiration from Buddhist chanting, yogic breathing, throat singing, and traditional Korean music such as Pansori and Shamanic rituals, their sound performances incorporate headbanging, crawling, and repetitive movements to transform negative memories and traumas into positive energy.
