Jelena plays "root music," which is work based on the roots of popular music such as country, folk, bluegrass and blues. Their distinctive yet straightforward approach to this type of original song "does not overpower" but, on the contrary, holds the spell of musical rawness and nature.

Jelena collaborated with composer Jan P. Muchow on the music for the film Okresní přebor and now performs live independently as well as a special guest, with singer Kateřina Marie Tichá.
