Jazztopad Festival 2019

This is the sixteenth edition of the Wrocław Jazztopad, and since the premieres are the hallmark of the festival organized by the National Forum of Music, you will be able to hear five premieres. Charles Lloyd, who is associated with Wrocław, will present a new version of the project Wild Man Dance. Moreover, Artifacts Trio will join forces with NFM Orchestra Leopoldinum, Vincent Courtois Trio will play with Lutosławski Quartet and Danilo Pérez will present a new composition for Global Messengers. Piotr Damasiewicz will also return to the festival - six years after the release of the groundbreaking album Alaman, his group is returning to the phonographic market and it is during the Jazztopad Festival that they will discover their premiere material. As always, one of the festival days will be devoted to the jazz microcosm of a particular country - this year it's time for a not far, but surprising Austria. There will also be a spontaneous improvisation of the Melting Pot project, concerts in apartments, meetings with artists and evening Jazztopad improv sessions.
