One of the greatest saxophonists in the history of jazz music. Each concert by Jan Garbarek is an event that stays in the memory for a long time. His music breathes and gives the space to breathe. It has a simple yet complex sound. On the one hand, it is complicated like a hymn, on the other hand it is economical, funny, sometimes also serious, lost in thought, and at the same time extremely open. One can not talk about jazz today, not to mention the person of this outstanding saxophonist. He is fascinated by folk and ethnic creativity, loves music travels in time and space - it adds color to his music, but also provokes meetings with artists of different cultures and styles. His last concert in Poznań, which took place in 2011, in the Dominican Fathers Church, still resonates in the minds of all who have been granted the honor of being present at this event. His concerts consist of a highly organic style, while building increasing tension. Jan Garbarek in Poznań appears extremely rarely, so it would be careless to miss his performance, which will take place at the end of June in the Earth Hall.

The expansive sound space extends from absolute relief to expressive ecstasy, radiating an amazing sense of calm, which, however, does not allow for a bit of boredom.
