James P. Honey

James P. Honey is a British singer-songwriter.

He is the frontman of the British band Buriers, which subscribes to the genre of "anti-rap folk", in something of a typically British, bleak combination of Cohanesque songwriting with sharp, punchy and topical rap interludes. Honey himself often and happily experiments with alternative rap, specifically in duets with fellow rapper Babel Fish, for example, but his solo work is more reminiscent of his homegrown Buriers, going even more to the marrow and roots of the song, let It's been a long year (2017) serve as proof.
