Jakub Zwierz
Jakub Zwierz was born in Warsaw in 1992. Since 2011 he has been associated with The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. In 2014 he graduated from the Faculty of Choir Conducting, Music Education, Church Music, Rhythmics and Dance in the conducting class of Prof. UMFC, Dr. Sławek A. Wróblewski, and in 2016 he received his Master's degree with honours in Choir Conducting in the class of Prof. Ryszard Zimak.
He is a scholarship holder of the Rector of The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He has been involved in numerous undertakings promoting Polish culture, including conducting at a national scientific conference in the series „Outstanding Polish Conductors – Stanisław Wisłocki", conducting excerpts from the Haunted Manor of Stanisław Moniuszko during a concert on the occasion of the celebration of the Moniuszko Year, or giving a concert as a pianist in a concert organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Poland.
He gained his conducting experience working with the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra as part of his student training, the UMFC Symphony Orchestra, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra. He took part in the 5th International Conducting Courses in Cracow conducted by Prof. Rafał Jacek Delekta. He also had the opportunity to improve his skills during master classes under the supervision of outstanding Italian conductors - Carlo Montanaro and Massimiliano Caldi. In 2017, he assisted Rafał Janiak at Mozart's opera Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart, performed by the Vocal and Acting Department of the UMFC at the Warsaw Chamber Opera and in 2018 at Piotr Czajkowski's opera Eugene Onegin, staged at the Grand Theatre of the National Opera. Recently, he has collaborated with Massimiliano Caldi, Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk and Adam Klocek during preparations for symphony concerts at The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. In 2019 he became an assistant at the Polish Royal Opera for the production of W.A.Mozart's Così fan tutte.
