Jakub Tököly
Jakub Tököly is a Slovakian pianist and composer.
He has directly contributed to many successful Czechoslovak and international projects. When writing his compositions, he derives inspiration from Roma folklore, jazz, artificial music, but also flamenco. His performances are influenced by the styles of Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock and Claude Debussy.
Jakub Tököly's compositional achievements include the albums Different Directions and The Echoes. In the second album mentioned, he brought together musicians from the Czechoslovak scene and created a musical synthesis of wind instruments, percussion, double bass and piano miniatures.
