Ivo Kahánek

The young Czech pianist Ivo Kahánek quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most remarkable artists of his generation. He is known for a wide variety of expressive and exceptional virtuoso abilities that apply in repertoire from Baroque to contemporary music. In 2004, he became the absolute winner of the international competition Prague Spring and has already won awards at many major contests at home and abroad (Maria Canals Piano Competition in Barcelona, Vendome Prize in Vienna, Tomassoni Wettbewerb Stiftung, Cologne, the International Fryderyk Chopin Competition Marianske Lazne, Concertino Praga, etc.).
