Ikan Hyu
Ikan Hyu is a Swiss music duo founded in 2016 by musicians Anisa Djojoatmodjo and Hannah Bissegger. The project was conceived during their music studies as a collaborative creative platform and has functioned from the outset as a two-member ensemble combining multiple instruments and vocal performances in both live and studio settings.
In the early stages of their career, the duo established their reputation primarily through live performances; even before releasing their first recording, they played dozens of concerts in Switzerland and performed, for example, as the opening act for Royal Blood. In 2018, they released their debut EP Zebra, for which they won the SRF Best Talent award, and subsequently went on tour, including concerts in Indonesia.
Ikan Hyu’s music is characterized by a combination of rock, pop, rap, and electronic elements, with the duo utilizing simultaneous multi-instrumental performance and an experimental approach to composition and production. Their style is often described as genre-fluid and cannot be clearly classified into a single musical category.
Following the release of additional EPs, including Jaaws, their debut album Oasis was released in 2023. The album was created over an extended period and represents the duo’s first comprehensive studio project, on which they also served as producers.
Their current work includes new singles released after 2023, such as CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, towers, and side fx from 2024–2025.
