Hm…

The roots of the playful, original musical group known as Hm… run as far back as 1994 when Marek Doubrava, the then guitarist of Tata Bojs, started to rehearse his own songs with his friend Viktor Ekrt. The band started to entertain the audiences of their jolly playful concerts under the assumed name of Hm… Alongside with their original material, Hm… has also used, from the start, poems by classical poets, Czech and international: Seifert, Orten, Wolker, Sova, Blatný, Apollinaire, and Rimbaud. Hm… often uses the instrument of music to change the topics, often serious, into an experience that reaches way beyond poetry. The band unveils spots that are “hidden between the lines”, underlines them with delicate arrangements and often just fools around. The ensemble has released four records so far: the debut …to by mohlo být zajímavé (2000), Oběd (2004), Plán na zimu (2008) and Klukoviny (2011).
