Gorycz

Comprised of musicians of groups including Non Opus Dei, Third Degree and Aeon, Gorycz is an Olsztyn-based band with a black metal pedigree, but with a much broader palette in their sound. A jazzy, hypnotic rhythm section, minimalist guitar parts reminiscent of post-rock, vocals oscillating between gloomy spoken word and growls—all these not-quite-black metal elements create an unmistakably black metal whole, with a pungent atmosphere and transgressive lyrics. Gorycz is signed to the cult Polish metal label Pagan Records; they have released two studio albums, the latest of which is 2022's Kamienie.
